Life EventsContact the church office at carri@crownofglory.org for more information regarding any one of the following life events. Baptisms Baptisms are held during services on Sunday morning. Classes for for those with an upcoming baptism are held on the second Sunday of each month. After attending the baptism class you may schedule the baptism. First Communion At Crown of Glory we believe in educating our youth on the meaning of communion so they may understand the gift that God has provided them. Classes are offered each fall and spring for people of all ages who would like to participate in Holy Communion. The next First Communion instruction will be scheduled April 2009. This class is for parents and their children. Confirmation A service of Affirmation of Baptism is held on Reformation weekend of each year is held for students entering grade 9 who have completed their Confirmation requirements Marriage If you are planning an upcoming wedding and would like to have the ceremony performed at Crown of Glory please contact the church office to reserve your special day. Crown of Glory also has a Wedding Ministry Team to help coordinate your wedding day. A wedding coordinator meets with a couple 3 to 4 months prior to the wedding for a consultation. They give a tour of the church, go over worksheets, review church policies and discuss rehearsal set-up and timing. The wedding coordinator is then present for the rehearsal to welcome everyone; begin the rehearsal in prayer; direct the rehearsal; and answer any questions. The wedding coordinator is also available on the wedding day to make sure everything goes smoothly. Carri Tuma (952)-448-3230 carri@crownofglory.org Funerals The passing of a loved one can be a difficult time. Crown of Glory has formed a Funeral Ministry Team to help you take care of the planning and preparation of the funeral service. The Funeral Support Team’s mission is to extend caring hospitality to grieving friends and family of the deceased. The funeral team provides and serves a luncheon after funerals at the church. The funeral team is comprised of a rotating kitchen staff (3-5 people per event) and food providers (usually dessert). Crown of Glory has had only one to three funerals in the past years, so a member of this team would probably only work one funeral a year.
