Ministry

We have a wide variety of ministries, teams, and fellowship groups that offer plentiful ways to live and connect in faith together including: Faithful Knitters, Faithful Knotters, Justice & Inclusion Team, Landscape Ministry, Men’s Pub Ministry, Softball Team, Kitchen Essentials Ministry, Hospitality, Worship Support Teams, Creation Care, and Facility Maintenance Team. New clubs and ministries are created based on the interests of our congregation. There is something for everyone!
CHILDREN'S MINISTRIES

We have a vibrant Children’s Ministry at Crown of Glory.  We enjoy the number of children involved and the dedication of supportive parents.  There is something for all age ranges in Sunday School, Connect, and the various activities that occur during the year. For more information about these opportunities, please contact Pastor Reggie Klindworth.

YOUTH MINISTRIES

These ministries allow our middle and high school aged youth to continue to discovery their faith in relationship to their peers and the community around them.  We provide a confirmation program and opportunities for mission worship locally and around the country. Please contact Pastor Reggie with any questions.

FAMILY MINISTRIES

Crown of Glory is very much a family-friendly congregation. Therefore,  we offer tools which help parents and children grow in relationship with each other and with God.  Please contact Pastor Reggie Klindworth with any questions.

MUSIC MINISTRIES

The arts have always been an integral part of the worship experience, and part of our lives as well.  For over 30 years, Crown of Glory has provided quality music to its congregation and the surrounding community.  Our ensembles involved the young and the young of heart.  Not only do their musical offerings help enhance worship, music is a great way to just be involved in the life of the church.  Contact Pastor Laura Laughlin for more information.

HOSPITALITY

Hospitality ministry is one of the most important ministries in any church.  It is important that our members and visitors feel welcomed and comfortable from the time they enter our doors until they leave.  The hospitality ministry consists of ushers, greeters, communion assistants, and fellowship volunteers waiting and willing to answer any questions you may have.

SPIRITUAL GROWTH

We believe that you never stop learning about the ministry of Jesus Christ and what it means in our lives today.  We have a number of opportunities for you to grow your faith individually and in relationship with one another.  Crown of Glory offers bible studies, men’s and women’s retreats and a number of other ways in which to connect with others.

SMALL GROUP MINISTRIES

One of the best way to grow and connect with others is through small group ministries.  We have a number of fun ways in which to meet other people in a comfortable setting.  Men's Pub Ministry, Lutheran Women Gone Wild, Bible Study, Book Club, and Faithful Knitters are all examples of small-group ministries Crown of Glory offers.

STEWARDSHIP

People are gifted in many different ways.  We rely on talented and trained people to help with the overall maintenance of our building.  If you have interest in swinging a hammer or changing a lightbulb among other projects, then there is a place for you on our property ministry team.

MISSION

Crown of Glory has a long tradition of serving the Chaska community and other neighboring communities.  If you have a passion for service outside the walls of our church, then there are several ways in which you can be involved.

MEMBER CARE

Care for people at Crown of Glory comes from several directions.   Pastoral care in crisis or hospitalization is offered by our pastoral staff.  Contact a pastor or the church office to arrange.   Our public prayer list lifts those in need to the worship community and often results in caring contacts between participants at Crown of Glory.  While not systematic, it does provide comfort and support in many circumstances.  Our Caring Hands ministry is a response of persons who have specifically made themselves available to care, provide a ride or a meal, or to provide an hour or too of support care to home-bound persons.  Don’t hesitate to let us know your circumstances or your willingness to help.  Together we are the hands of Christ to those in need.

PROPERTY

People are gifted in many different ways.  We rely on talented and trained people to help with the overall maintenance of our building.  If you have interest in swinging a hammer or changing a lightbulb among other projects, then there is a place for you on our property ministry team.
